Nancy O'Dell's first position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the states authorities again releasing an even more strict directive on the instances. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the year Award to every aspect of South Carolina media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell worked as a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. She also works as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. In addition, she hosted Miss USA's pageant, as well as the Miss Universe Pageant.
